Everything you need to know about Opus Platforms — for workers and employers, on pricing, payroll, compliance, and how the platform actually runs.
Opus Platforms is a UK staffing platform that lets employers hire flexible PAYE temporary workers and lets workers find weekly-paid shifts via WhatsApp. It unifies sourcing, vetting, attendance, timesheets, payroll, and invoicing in one automation-first system.
Opus runs the agency function, but every step — shift posting, allocation, attendance, timesheets, payroll, invoicing — is automated. Workers operate through WhatsApp; employers use a dashboard. Removing the phone-and-spreadsheet overhead delivers 11–23% savings versus traditional agency markups.
A single per-hour bill rate covering worker pay, employer National Insurance, holiday pay, pension auto-enrolment, and the Opus platform fee. No setup fees, no monthly subscription, no minimum spend.
All Opus workers are PAYE employees with full UK statutory protections — holiday pay (12.07%), pension auto-enrolment, statutory sick pay, and employer National Insurance contributions. Workers are not self-employed contractors.
Yes. Every worker completes IDSP-verified Right-to-Work via Yoti or TrustID before their compliance status can move to Green. Without Green status, no shift can be accepted.
Yes, for regulated roles such as healthcare support and any role involving children or vulnerable adults. Standard and Enhanced DBS checks are handled via the uCheck integration and tracked in the worker compliance record.
Yes. Workers can request a comprehensive data export at any time. Account deletion is honoured with a 30-day cooling period; HMRC-mandated payroll records (6 years) are retained per legal obligation and clearly disclosed.
No. Per our Responsible AI policy, no LLM is used in payroll calculation, compliance decisions, shift allocation, or access control. These are deterministic code paths. AI is used only for conversational support, summarisation, and non-binding suggestions.
United Kingdom only. All workers are paid in GBP via UK BACS.
Warehousing and logistics, hospitality, events, retail, and healthcare support. Additional sectors are added as worker supply and employer demand are validated.
Visit opusplatforms.co.uk/get-started or email [email protected]. Onboarding takes minutes: register the company, add sites, accept terms, and post your first shift.
Every Friday, via BACS, for the previous Monday-to-Sunday work week. Payslips are delivered by email and in the dashboard.
Yes. Every bill rate is set so workers receive at least the UK National Minimum Wage with all statutory on-costs — employer NI, holiday pay, and pension — properly funded. This protects both the worker and full PAYE compliance.
No. The full worker workflow runs through WhatsApp — finding shifts, accepting them, clocking in, viewing payslips. A web dashboard (installable as a PWA) is available for workers who prefer it.
On arrival at the site, the worker taps Clock In. GPS coordinates are validated against a configurable geofence around the site. Clock-in outside the geofence is blocked with a clear error showing the actual distance.
No. The platform prevents double-booking automatically — a worker can hold only one active shift in any given time window.
A traffic-light view of the worker’s overall compliance. Green: cleared to work, nothing expiring within 7 days. Amber: action needed within 7 days. Red: blocked from working until a missing or expired check is resolved.
After 12 weeks at the same end client, an agency worker is entitled to equal treatment versus comparable permanent staff — equal pay, equal holiday entitlement, equal access to facilities. Opus tracks this automatically and notifies both worker and employer when the threshold is reached.
